Next Meeting is September 2nd
The next meeting will be held at the Columbia Station Airport (4G8) on
September 2nd at 7:30pm.  We will be organizing a September Fly-in with Gyros
and Young Eagle Rally and a Chapter Camp Out.  We also will put together the
details to get the donated Taylorcraft to 4G8.

Friday Cookouts are here!
Let summer begin!  Joe and Ester are in full swing for this years Bar-B-Que
season at the airport.  PLEASE REMEMBER to BYOB.  A dish to pass is also
appreciated but if you can't, you can also leave a few bucks in the donation jar!  

Ask Doug Ground School Every Wednesday Morning
Doug Robeson has graciously donated his time to make our aviators safe by
providing answers to all of your pilot questions.  From Aerodynamics to Zero G's
Doug's experience will help all of our aviators.  Stop by for some coffee and
maybe even a donut every Wednesday morning starting around 8:30a.

Pedal Plane #2
Vic Fontana is chairing the construction team for pedal plane #2.  If you would
like to be on Vic's team, then please e-mail him at victorfon@wideopenwest.com.
They all ready have most of the wooden pieces cut and are getting ready for
assembly.

Airport Beautification
Your chapter has been cleaning things up around the airport.  Mowing the
grass, trimming, filling in potholes, mopping and dusting to ensure that we have
a comfortable home.  We are hoping to make it presentable so that more people
will use the facilities and be proud or our little airport home.  You can do your
part by picking up FOD and leaving things a little tidier than you found them.

Housing Committee
A housing committee has been formed to look into the feasibility of our own
facility at 4G8.  Doug Robeson chairs and Steve Janowski and Jerry D'agostino
are members.  Many possibilities are being discussed.  If you have any ideas
feel free to discuss them with one of the committee members.
